J1 How To Stop Yahoo/Google Mail notifications?
Every time I switch my J1 on I get a constant stream of advices that a message has arrived. Usually from Yahoo mail.
I want the ability to send an email whenever but I don't want the machine constantly phoning the internet to get it and I don't want to be told about every new spam message that arrives in my inbox.
My desktop doesn't do that and I don't want it on the J1.
Must I uninstall Yahoo mail to do that? Or can it be switched on or off or something? I have looked but failed to...

Hi from Miami. I am a university adjunct professor whose unlocked 6 month old cell phone just developed a problem. I bought my LG G4 online from Amazon. Can someone recommend a reasonably good file manager app? One of the main things I have found hampering my progress mastering my unfamiliar Android is the absence of decent file manager apps, compared to what I have been used to on another OS. Facebook image upload is not working on Lenovo K3 Note (K50A40)
Hello guys, I'm having a Lenovo K3 Note (K50A40) and it seems that image upload on Facebook is not working anymore and I don't know why. The device is running Android 6.0 and I have tried the following:
- Reinstall the Facebook up
- Upload seems to work while using the website mobile version
- Upload seems to work while uploading from Facebook Lite app When I'm trying to upload from the app it says upload failed. Any ideas how to fix this?

Cynogenmod vs Stock Rom for Sony?
Hello everyone. I've been using the stock firmware since i bought the phone but currently thinking to try cynogenmod.
What i want to ask is, does it worth to install CM as Sony's stock rom is pretty good both performance/battery consumption and UI wise, compared to many other phone like samsung which i never quite liked.
Will it improve the battery life which is sony has already done a good job on stock firmware and what other benefits will i get?

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 doesn't recognize memory cards
Just got a new Tab S 10.5. Love the device, works great but when I insert any one of three (SanDisk 32gb-Kingston 8gb) cards they're not being recognized. The cards work fine in my Tab 4 10.1 and phone. I've read where some people who have this problem have gotten Samsung SD cards to work, where other brands won't. Any thoughts, advice, or comments on this snafu appreciated.

Note 7 earpiece and mic issues?
Hey everyone I'm new to the forum. So I just picked up the Note 7 a couple days ago and so far everything is amazing. Except the earpiece and mic. I feel like when on calls it's difficult to carry a convo because the ear peace seems to cut out here and there and I'm not sure if this is a hardware, software, or due to a poor signal? Also the mic seems to be having issues when on speaker phone and somewhat on regular calls without speaker phone. I feel like maybe this might be a Samsung issue?...

LG V10 "Screen Overlay detected"
Since the new system update, I keep getting a warning saying "screen overlay detected" and then it wants me to go through every app and turn the "draw over app" settings on or off for every app on my phone. I am playing CSR Racing 2 on android, galaxy s6 and with a emulator on PC, but the game now wont load after sign in with google play games, gives me a message that my account has changed and then keeps loading forever and finally the game starts as new, as i never played the game. I am very intrigued by the fact that the Note 7 is one of the first phones to implement native display resolution adjusting, intended to improve battery life.
How much improvement to battery life, if any, does reducing the 2K screen to 1080p or 720p achieve?

Wondering if anyone else has encounter this error message and/or what I need to do to resolve it. It just started last night and seems to only pop up when I plug my phone in to charge. Once I click OK it keeps popping up like every 5 seconds disallowing me to do anything else on the phone while it remains on my screen.

Moving apps to the SD Card
I need some basic, simple advice on how to move apps and data from my new Samsung Tab A to its SD Card. I have two apps for this purpose but so far have not got them working. Nothing seems to happen after clicking 'move to SD', the apps are still where they were and the Card does not list them. The Card is shown as almost empty (except that one storage app says it is now half full, but not what with!)

After Android 6 Upgrade can we Change it's Phone?
I recently upgraded my Honor 5X to EMU 4.0 and Android 6.0.1 and was "shocked" because all of a sudden I couldn't answer my phone because I was used to pushing the VOL to Answer...and WALA, NO Swiping, just nice clean screen w incoming info and my features to choose below, click on Speaker Phone, and Answer. NOT now, had to call Support to find out that now to answer, I have to Swipe UP on the little Green receiver. I do not like this and would LOVE to be able to install something similar...

Hey everyone, I know this will be my SECOND thread in here, but I have a pretty serious problem with my Galaxy Note 5. I literally locked my screen and put it down a few days ago, like I would any other time, to look down on it a few minutes later, restarting. Only.... It NEVER finishes. My phone starts overheating and the battery temperature goes over 40° mostly when I'm using 4G data with my wifi hotspot on.

Rogers Customers. I have been in touch with Rogers. No 6.0 update. They could/would not tell me if it is coming. "Speed Up" app keeps on making me install it on my android phone... HELP!
An app called "Speed Up" is randomly popping up on my phone and asks me to install it. Apparently, it downloads itself at random times on my phone and it can be located on my Downloads folder with the name "a29.apk". I already tried deleting it, but it will again download itself sometime later. This "a29.apk" has the size of 2.17MB.

I am not able to upload or forward any videos on whatsapp from yesterday (samsung s7 edge) .. i think after accepting the revised policy.
It gives an error message
"failed to process video.please try again later. If you keep seeing this message please restart your phone ".
I tried by restarting phone.. by un checking the share to Facebook option.. by de activating whatsapp and activating again... but nothing works..

I am new to Android and just got the Galaxy Note 7 after having an iPhone 4s for several years. I'm loving the Note 7 but the one thing I miss a lot is the ease of iTunes and downloading ringtones. Mp3 Playback not supported on my Moto g
Hello, I rooted my Moto G lte 2013, I installed Cyanogenmode 13 and the Gapps. Everything is ok, but I have an issue with wordreference app, when I try to listen to the pronunciation of a word, a popup appears saying:
"Mp3 playback is not supported. Linux users can install Gstreamer to get support."
How can I fix it?

Unlocking the bootloader and relocking it.
Hi,
I want to try Android N Developer Preview, but flashing that to my phone will erase all my apps and data. I know I can't install a custom recovery and backup and restore whole OS perfectly, but that requires bootloader to be unlocked. I'm ready to unlock the bootloader but after unlocking the bootloader I can't install official software from Xperia Companion. So will relocking the bootloader allow me to install original software from sony?

Note 7 Hogging WiFi
When my Note 7 is connected to our WiFi, my son's ping is too high, and he cannot game. When I disconnect my Note 7 from our WiFi, my son's ping drops to around 25-30, and he is able to game again. My son's Computer is a desktop, and he is hardwired to our router.

Note 7 Disappoints again with video/audio recordings
Specifically bought this phone to take with me to Minnesota to see Metallica's show live and get good quality recordings both in video and audio.
As you can see in the video below, autogain or some other stupid setting caused the audio to peak out and make a crackling sound.

I had fastboot working enough to load the stock recovery on there but than I went to try to use the RUU it would just crash after the Terms and Conditions. Video editing
Using a Samsung Tablet S2 is there a way of editing or erasing the middle part of a video and then joining the beginning and end together again. The many video editing downloads on Google Play which I have tried will only allow erasing the beginning or the end by sliding a line from either end to a point and then exporting. Destroyed Galaxy Tab 3 (sprint) data recovery
I am new to this forum and am looking for a lifeline for a friend of mine. Her home was broken into and her tablet was taken. The perps found out the tablet was locked and in turn smashed it on the sidewalk. Needless to say its destroyed. I cannot even connect to it to get the data. Honor 5C vs Huawei P9 Lite: is 1 more GB of RAM worth extra 70€?
Hi there!
Title basically says it all.
I may be missing something, but the only difference seems to be RAM, with one more GB for the P9 Lite. But is it really worth the extra 70€ ? I can find the 5C for about 200€, and the P9 Lite for 270€ (after rebate, 300€ otherwise).
I know there are other differences, like NFC, USB OTG, etc, but these aren't really important to me.

after servicing from a local technician there is no Google apps like - Google search, playstore, maps, ......etc..
Then I installed a playstore but after installation I can't open it(playstore), when I oppens it, it blinks and disappearing.

Can´t download certain apps from play store with wifi
Hi there, since a few days ago I can´t download certain apps from the play store while being connected to my home Wifi (I can download them using 3G but I don´t have a big data plan).
For example I can download Facebook app but Instagram gets stuck in downloading forever.
This issue happens for any phone connected to my home network, tried:
Nexus 5x - Android 7.0 and 6.0.1
Nexus 4 - Android 5.1
Moto X Style - Android 6.0.1

My Samsung Galaxy s3 Neo Is stuck on Odin Mode.
Hello everybody,
About a week ago I tried to install a new rom on my Android device, the Cyanogenmod.
Accidentally I went in Odin mode, but there was no way I could get out of it. I tried everything. I tried to take the battery out and then put it back, to take out the sim card and the memory card, I tried to press and hold power + volume down, Power + volume up, and Home + power + volume up/down. But there was nothing do.
