Some Keys for a Bluetooth Keyboard

I have just started using a Caseflex BT Keyboard configured for Android (Windows and iOS can also be chosen) with my Galaxy Tab A. At some point I may try creating a few shortcuts as in the arcticle linked to in this Forum but first I want to establish how to use a few keys I have not yet got working, in particular the Pound sterling and the Euro. Although it seems to be configured as English UK and has the Pound and Euro symbols on two keys it will not print them, yet it does print the $....
