Application icons

Hello gentlemen. Samsung galaxy core 2 (SM-G355HN). I wanted to ask you this. When you create the folder on the home screen the following occurs. First long press and then "Create Folder" box .In writing name for the folder, and has the + sign .When you step this symbol all applications (icons) have a small black mark. I not pressed anything because I was afraid that would delete some application. You know what that means; Thanks.
