Note 3 Android 6.0?

My Note 3 N900T is on Android 5.0 and works great but I have been getting lots of apps that are calling for upgrading and have updated some and they do not work right or will not open....this is the classic way old cellphones fall to the wayside.

I want to upgrade my Note 3 to the latest Android version and would like to know if anyone has done this, or is doing it or can give me some advice, pros, cons?
