Phone FORCES me to use password to login after a reset since marshmallow update

Is anyone else running into this issue? It's aggravating I didn't/don't WANT to use a damn password but I was utterly forced to do it upon a power restart of my phone after the update, it does it everytime, despite the fact I have it set for fingerprint scanning. Does anyone know of a fix to this utterly idiotic change?
