Edge Feed Security Risk

I found the edge feed feature while phone is off by chance when I was cleaning my screen. It's a nice feature, however, it does have what I think is a serious bug.

If you have this set to On, and you click on whichever feed you have, it takes you to it, however, once you close it, instead of going back to your lock screen it goes into your home screen, effectively bypassing your password.
