Is there an option in Android to turn off Wi-Fi sharing?

As I stated previously I've always been a Mac person so I'm used to going into settings and firewall, turning firewall on and turning sharing off for privacy and security. My question is how do I do that on my Samsung tablet or is there even an option to do so?
