Unlocking Galaxy S6 on Verizon?

Is there a way I can unlock the Galaxy S6 on Verizon? If so, where, and for how much? Also, I only have a Verizon SIM. In the phone settings, would I be able to switch to say, T-Mobile like you can on an unlocked iPhone?

Sorry if this is an obvious answer. I'm new to the whole unlocking thing.

I've got a Moto E 2nd Gen 2015. System Low storage space on my phone despite new blank sd card!

And I'm constantly running out of space. I have Greenly, and android assistant and a few other similar type apps but without root can't do much or im using them wrong/inefficently Even with my additional 32 micro sd external card added – tho it was a little outta whack so bought a brand new class 10 32 sd card last night and now have all that space available but internal space is still in system low range and cant update or move anything over to my new sd card. Elephone P9000 - Has anyone here encountered an "Unzip error" during Wireless Update?

Hi guys, I need your help has any here encountered an "Unzip error" during wireless update? I just bought my P9000 and then I tried doing an update via the "Wireless Update" built-in appp. After downloading and selecting "Install Now" an error occurred saying"Unzip error". I have tried restarting, factory reset and even enabling all permission for Wireless Update but I still get the "Unzip error".

The update is for Elephone_P9000_20160401

Help! bricked note 4 after rooting..

I have a Huawei Y600-U20 Smart phone that fails to boot, it stucks at Huawei Logo.

whatsapp is duplicating contacts

I'm using the 4.4.2 version with the stock contacts app and having a problem that Whatsapp duplicates my contacts

Before installing whatsapp I had 1 contact:

Smith family
John 12345
Ann 98765


Now, after installing whatsapp I have 3 contacts:

Smith family
John 12345
Ann 98765

Smith family
John 12345
Whatsapp 12345

Smith family
Ann 98765
Whatsapp 98765

If the contact have only 1 phone number it doesn't duplicate itself.
No other change was made except installing whatsapp.

Better than others forum

This Android Authority forum is much better than others, it is lightweight and more importantly fast. I was on another highly popular Android forum, and that forum is slow, full of "add-ons" on the forum webpage, my browser hangs a lot of times. Very frustrating to use that Android forum but the good thing about that forum it has many members, there are well over 80,000 topics in the "Ask Community" folder. I just wish that Android Forum sticks to a simple vBulletin board that is lightweight...

Unlocking the bootloader and relocking it.

Hi,

I want to try Android N Developer Preview, but flashing that to my phone will erase all my apps and data. I know I can't install a custom recovery and backup and restore whole OS perfectly, but that requires bootloader to be unlocked. I'm ready to unlock the bootloader but after unlocking the bootloader I can't install official software from Xperia Companion. So will relocking the bootloader allow me to install original software from sony?

Nexus 6p battery vs competition

So I am an avid android lover, recently had an S6 Edge. I needed something much more reliable now, and really need a battery that will last me all day, no matter what. (Heaviest days will be 4.5 hours of screen on time) Anyways, I have tested the iPhone 6s Plus, and it really provides both of those. My Nexus 6p however, only gets me about 3 hours of screen on time, with very few games. I also have greenify activating doze, along with the app, Doze (not the android function), that blocks apps...

I have a question that is haunting me for years, and I have been looking for a solution ever since. I am just an average user/editor of videos. Depending of the term average, it means for me that I can download converters, knows how to twitch (very little) some of the qualities to reduce a file size like resolution and such. First android device question

• Hello. I have had an iPhone since the 3GS but I am wanting to purchase a new android phone. Between the S7 Edge or HTC 10. My main concern is the security of android devices and what anti virus / malware programs I would need or are recommended. i have had friends with android Phones with CC and other private information stolen but I have never had this happen to me on my iPhone's. [Sony C4] Removed an app from a damaged SD Card

Hello,

I have a Sony C4 and my SD card became damaged. I have replaced most apps I can remember having that where damaged however I have no idea what 1 of them is and the damaged app icon has no name.

How can I get rid of this icon? uninstalling just gives a message that the app doesn't exist and restarting the device has had no effect.

I'm a 54 year old that doesn't really care about smartphones. I'm computer literate, but have never been into phones. The less I use it, the better. I still have a flip phone without texting. Obviously, I'm also cheap.

Current iPhone User; Get Galaxy S7 now or wait and buy one off contract?

So I'm torn. My wife and I currently have iPhone 6Ss. We will be moving from Verizon to ATT and have to make the decision as to whether we want to get phones now or wait till later. The two options that I have are below:

1) Trade in our iPhones now when transferring to ATT and get Galaxy S7s now (BOGO sale and pay off current phones)

Hi guys, first of, new to android, just received my Galaxy S7 2 months ago and i'm the happiest of men.
got a lot of tech experience so feel free when answering.
its all started when i copied 2 large files in to different times (gotta love gear vr video)

I've been having major issues with my Note 4 for the past week or so.
It worked totally fine till about a week ago, then started rebooting anywhere from 10-20 times a day. Apps got super laggy when the phone was actually on and a few of the apps became completely unresponsive.

Edge S6 connectivity/sync issues

Hello,

I've been experiencing connectivity/sync issues for a while.

I can't make any voip call (Skype, Messenger and Whatsapp): the call drops immediately
GPS can't track properly, even if it says the signal is great
Voice messages on Whatsapp only arrive if I click on the conversation
Google Calendar not syncing properly with Desktop version

Hi, for about a week, my touch screen was very unresponsive. I had to push my finger down hard or repeatedly. Typing was a major hassle as I had to push each key very carefully before going on to the next. Very slow. Heating

When you use it for more than an hour or even when you're play games it heats up.. because my device works flawlessly and I even get a full day of the use but when I play a game it does get hot and sometimes hotter than usual.

I am also experiencing some screen glitches whenever the phone goes over the top like when it's so hot you can't even touch it. When that happens i just power-cycle it and wait for it to cool down.

new to the forum, and unsure that this is the correct place to ask my question.

I've bought an OPPO A37m (medium end phone) in order to test it (and potentially to use it as my personal phone). GPS has not yet locked on but icon on the status bar is already active

Hi guys, I have a P9000 phone running Android 6.0. I noticed that the GPS/location icon is always active even if the GPS has not yet locked on my position. On every phone I have checked when the GPS has not yet locked on the position the icon is grayed out, once the position is fixed the icon will turn to white or active. Hello,

I have an aging Moto X from 2013, and it works okay if I don't use any Google Now stuff otherwise it crashes all the time. I want something more stable so that means either an iPhone or a Nexus. I have a Nexus 7 from 2013 and it's been rock-solid and supported for the past three years, so I feel like I can stay with Android if I stay in the Nexus line. I've been looking for a budget phone, just like a temporary phone until I can get something for "Hard Work", so i'm looking for something below 100 USD.

I'm using the 4.4.2 version with the stock contacts app and having a problem that Whatsapp duplicates my contacts

Before installing whatsapp I had 1 contact:

Smith family
John 12345
Ann 98765


Now, after installing whatsapp I have 3 contacts:

If the contact have only 1 phone number it doesn't duplicate itself.

S7 Edge dead screen.. No reply from Samsung

So my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge broke after 3 months, I got it the day it came out in the UK. At first I opened Snapchat then all of a sudden a third of the screen went pink and flickery, so I contacted samsung and they said do a factory reset and get back to them.
This did nothing, so I went to contact Samsung again and whilst I was contacting them the screen completely went so it was sent off to Anovo I got an email with a image of my Micro USB port saying....

Note 5 duo data preference problem

Hi,

I have a very specific problem with the data connection. I am using the Note 5 dual sim variant which I want to use solely for my business uses; one local Hong Kong sim card (SmarTone) and one USA sim card (T-mobile) for international calls (cheaper). Local sim card to make local calls and internet; USA sim card to use only for calls.

Hello...I'm new to the forum and hope you all could shed some light here....
For some reason it seems to happen when I am getting in my car and the bluetooth is turning on, it randomly will call the last person i texted?

This phone also does not pick up all in coming calls...Sometimes I am on the phone and the call goes right to vm. And never posts a missed call notification.

Facebook video stalls and stops

Lg g4 vs lg g5 price/performance

Hi i curently have lg g3 but had an accident at work and now have broken display, so i have decided it is time for new phone. Cant decide betwen lg g4 and lg g5, performance wise lg g3 was enought for me so i guess both phones are fairly good. The volume buttons on my S7 no longer silence the phone?

I just got a Galaxy S7 with Marshmallow (6.0.1). Both of my friends with Marshmallow can silence their phones by pressing the lower volume button on the phone. It silences everything except media and alarms. On my phone it only puts the phone in vibrate mode.

OnePlus One torch turns on randomly and sometimes I can't shut it off.

I've been having this wierd issue with my OnePlus One. I put it in my pocket and randomly the torch comes on. The screen is locked as well. I messed up

So, I am selling my OnePlus One. I unlocked bootloader and custom recovery and ROMed it. I went to go wipe it, and I accidentally deleted everything. I can get to boot loader menu and to the recovery menu. However my phone doesn't show up on my computer. What do??
P.s. I'm a noob when it comes to all this stuff.

Extreme battery drain after marshmallow update

I updated my G3 to Marshmallow four days ago and have noticed horrible battery drain. It seems to be from my screen as indicated in the attached pic. I've done a factory reset and keep my screenbrightness at 5% to no avail. Any ideas? Please save my battery!

I got the Android 6 upgrade and did the adopt a sd card, need help.

Hi.
After upgrading my Moto G2 to A6 I did the adopt the SD card thing. I bought a 32gig Ultra high speed microsd.
I did all the file trans fares and such. But I still get the internal card running out of space error. Combined it is 28.65gig of space. I should not be running out of room. What's going on?
Please help.

I was having this problem when downloading an application from the Google Play Store...
First what I did was I uninstalled a lot of apps at once to get rid of the ones that I do not play with anymore and to make room for the one that I wanted to install. Help please

My Galaxy s7 is suppose to arrive today.I don't like mirrorlink because I don't like having to always hook up a cable.My head unit is the Avh x3700 Bhs.Does not have hdmi input. Could I connect usb cable to a bluetooth dongle and then wirelessly connect my phone. I couldn't use an "usb to hdmi" cable cause that would require wifi. Suggestions anyone?

S7 Edge Charging speed

I used to have a BlackBerry Z10, so moving the S7 edge was a huge update. I think the battery on my bb was 1800 mAh. With a 10W charger it charges in a better speed compared to the S7 edge. And considering that the S7 Edge has quick charge 2, if not 3, I wish the had put in a 18W charger. The packed one is 15W.

Should I upgrade from my LG tribute 1 to 2?

I just got my LG tribute 1 today from Virgin Mobile for $30 and saw they have a $40 LG tribute 2 at BestBuy. The only improvement is 50 more pixels, 8gb instead of 4gb, and an Adreno 306 instead of a 305 in the tribute 1.

I have currently just received my Samsung galaxy S7 and i must say I'm not very pleased with the front camera being so blurry.

s7 Edge Screen Issue

Last night my wife went to bed and her phone was working fine. This morning she woke up to a weird color distortion, and pixelation on her screen, that is present at all times, but gets worse with Warm color icons and fast scrolling.

I googled, but I wasn't able to determine the proper terminology to identify the issue to Google standards, but came across this forum in the process, So i thought I would ask here.

Gear s2 Classic LTE

Hi,

I just changed over to a S7 Edge and had an Apple Watch before, I was interested in getting a Samsung Gear S2 with LTE mainly because I love the functionality to go on a run/exercise without needing to take my phone with me.

I use Apple Music as my streaming service, can the gear s2 run Apple Music as an APP since it is on my s7 edge? Or can I at least transfer downloaded playlists to the watch? I have a lot of music on Apple Music as does my family.
