Current iPhone User; Get Galaxy S7 now or wait and buy one off contract?

So I'm torn. My wife and I currently have iPhone 6Ss. We will be moving from Verizon to ATT and have to make the decision as to whether we want to get phones now or wait till later. The two options that I have are below:

1) Trade in our iPhones now when transferring to ATT and get Galaxy S7s now (BOGO sale and pay off current phones)
2) Pay off our iPhones, transfer to ATT, buy a new phone (eg. the new One Plus 3, Moto G4 Plus, Moto Z, etc.) this summer, and then sell our iPhones.
