Wait for new Nexus in September?

Hello,

I have an aging Moto X from 2013, and it works okay if I don't use any Google Now stuff otherwise it crashes all the time. I want something more stable so that means either an iPhone or a Nexus. I have a Nexus 7 from 2013 and it's been rock-solid and supported for the past three years, so I feel like I can stay with Android if I stay in the Nexus line. The Samsung S7 is very tempting but more expensive and I don't know how well their phones age.

So do you think it's worth replacing...
