My BLU is making me Blue

I have a BLU Studio M HD. I tried hooking it up to my computer to put music and pics on it and it communicates with my computer but I can't put nothing on my phone. It says its incompatible. Has anyone had a similar problem or have any advice of which route to follow? It would be a blessing

Galaxy 7 Case on an Edge phone?

Hi, everybody. I did a search and didn't find the answer to my question, so if it's a repeat, I apologize. I also read the forum rules and it says no nudity. I'm dressed.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge. There is a crack on....where else?....the edge of it. It doesn't effect the use of the phone, it's just annoying and not perfect . Has anybody used a case for the Galaxy 7 (not edge) on the Edge? Does it work okay? I am willing to give up the Edge features to further...

Importing Contact to S7 with .csv File

I am trying to upload contacts to my new S7 with a .csv file. I created a file and uploaded to my Gmail account. When they upladed to the phone only eh name and emails populated correctly. The phone numbers when to the notes sections of the contact. Any suggestions?

Application won't install from Play store in LAVA IRIS x8

I build an android application which is having GCM integration. When I upload the application in the play store; some of the mobiles like "LAVA IRIS x8 with OS version 5.1.1 - lollipop" not able to download from the playstore showing message as "Application can not be installed Error code : 504"

Even more when I try to run from ADB android Studio shows same issue. Please anyone can help me out as this issue I am facing in my all application which I developed ASAP ?

should I upgrade Marshmallow 6 to Marshmallow 6.0.1 ?

presently, my phone is running out of memory , it has 200 mb free memory. and I have pending OTA of Marshmallow 6.0.1 with 75 mb. The reason I haven't updated is low memory since 200 mb left to be use used and there is a warning with red indicator of low memory

presently I have no problem on marshmallow 6 ,so should I upgrade to 6.0.1 for apparently no reason?

6.0.1 video playback issues

Hi there,

I have a newly replaced Note 7 but as of yesterday any videos I make, and go to watch, the playback through the gallery or the video app etc keeps skipping back and restarting, it like it's glitching as if the ram cannot process the video but this is not the case, a quick loading wheel appears and then video jumps back and plays again like it's got a loop bug or something but doesn't happen at the same time or video length incriments. This was not an issue on my previous note...

Nexus 5x or HTC Nexus

Hi everybody!

Little "problem" here ... this moment I have a Nexus 5 (16GB), great phone btw! But right now I can buy a 5X (32GB) with 100$ reduction (a real bargain), but now there are rumours HTC is going to build the new nexus phones.

So I'm wondering ... should I wait and buy a HTC Nexus 2016 or buy the 5X now? I know, it's a gamble, because nothing is known already about the possible upcoming HTC Nexus devices.

I don't have experience with HTC, so I don't know anything about there...

No ring/text-tone when receiving text messages. I have tried everything

Hi guys,

I recently got my S7 edge, and cannot figure out why I am not getting a sound notification when i receive text messages.

So far I have checked that my notification volume is on, and I have also ensured that notifications are turned on in settings>applications>messages. Please Help!!

M8S+ display stopped on one TV, works on others

Hi All,

I have a strange issue with my Android TV box. I am running 5.1 on an M8S+ box.
This was working perfectly on my TV for about 4 months, but suddenly stopped.
(It was powering up when being plugged into the HDMI port.)
The display is now blank and nothing is visible.

I have only one HDMI port on the TV (Walker, HD Ready) and this same HDMI port on the TV works fine with Sky/PlayStation etc.
The same Android box (including HDMI cable) works fine on other TV's (Full HD and HD Ready)...

Galaxy S5 SD card problem (edit)

Edit 1: I have continued to attempt to fix the problem by doing some stuff with adb, terminal, file explorer, etc. I have not found a solution yet but I did stumble upon something weird. In ES File Explorer if I go to my folder called "sdcard" it takes me to the same spot as if I went to storage/emulated/0. It seems my folder called "sdcard" is just a shortcut. Does anyone else have this happen to them? I tried making a folder inside (called external_sd) and mounting to it but didn't work....

Maybe someone in here can help me on this one:
I have been looking everywhere for a smartwatch I can connect to my phone (Huawei P8 Lite), but with no luck.
Actually I have only two important things I need:
1: Phone-away alarm! When I leave my phone behind, I want to hear a noise from the watch, that continues until I take action. Not a wibration or some single 'ding'.
2: A display that is either 'always on', or will light up (reliably) by twist of the wrist when I need to...

Help needed with Honor 8 Bluetooth problems

Hello. I have problems with my brand new Honor 8 as the Bluetooth connection does not work properly. When I listen to Spotify through my stereos (Onkyo) the Bluetooth connection with my Honor 8 breaks up now and then, about once or twice during a track, for about 0,5 seconds, and then comes Back. This is extremely irritating when listening to music. Can anyone advice me how to fix the problem.

Pull data off a display damaged Nexus 5

So my nexus 5's screen died and only the right half of it is working. I cannot fix the display so I bought an OTG cable and connected a mouse to type in the passcode but the phone acts crazy and types things on itself therefore blocking the phone. Is there any way to pull data off that phone, it doesn't have TWRP installed so I cannot copy files over to usb through it..HELP

Since the new system update, I keep getting a warning saying "screen overlay detected" and then it wants me to go through every app and turn the "draw over app" settings on or off for every app on my phone. UMI Touch And AT&T 4G LTE

Hi,
I just received a UMI Touch and love it but it seems I can only get it to connect to AT&T 2G network (Edge). Is there something I need to do? AT&T hasn't been much help. I am in Southern California, USA.

I received this bit of info, but am wondering if there any mods or flashes or even a modem swap that will halp me get on the AT&T 3G/4G Network.

I am new to the Zenfone, but one thing I have noticed is there have been what look to be identical cases (flip cases) for past models.

poor wifi on alacatel onetouch idol3

Newly purchased idol onetouch3, updated to 6.01 by ota. I have started using my phone and it is totally up to date as far as I know. The wifi reception seems really "weak" compared to several android phones and tablets i have had in the past few years. Certain Apps don't remember sound notification changes

Hi,

I'm really struggling with my Galaxy s7 edge - with a really annoying issue, where a number of apps (Twitter, Android authority, BBC sport) - not all apps will not remember the change I've made to the notification sound. It just defaults back to the default sound. I've seen a number of posts on various forums relating to Twitter, but in my experience, its not just twitter.

Need help recovering files

Ok so, today, I decided to backup my pictures so I just took my phone, a Oneplus One, and connected it as a camera (PTP) and copy/pasted my dcim folder. Sadly, when it started, my computer kinda bugged and i had to click cancel on the transfer. Next thing i know, everything in my internal storage is gone. Today, Sep 25, my note 7 got uncomfortably warm, it can be felt both on the back through the synthetic leather cover (wallet case) and on the front, but mostly on the back.

New Droid Phone Need Help

So I have an S5 and I am looking to replace it, deff do not wanna spend 800 when the note comes back out or even 500 on the older note.

I am looking at phones from China like Lenovo but I cant seem to find any phone that will work on verizon everything seems to be GSM.

Does any one have an insight on some of these devices from China that will work with verizon?

AsyncTask & Fragments

Hi,

I'm trying to learn about AsynchTask and Fragments. One problem seems to be that when the fragment detatches from the main Activity and I gather that setRetainInstance(true) is supposed to avoid this problem, but I still get an "Error receiving broadcast Intent" caused by the fragment being "not attached to Activity."

I can post the code if necessary, but this seems like a routine enough kind of problem that I'm hoping there's a standard approach. I've done a lot of searching and...

Nexus 6P Stuck

Recently updated to the new OS, and the phone has worked well. However, today it is stuck in the screen after the "Google" appears where you have the four circles and all rotating concentric rings. Tried a "Clear Cache" and think I did it correctly, but that didn't help. Before I do a hard reset does anyone have a suggestion?

If I DO have to hard reset, is there a way to retrieve my app list from wherever that lives in the cloud?

Calls from Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge aren't going to voicemail

When I call friends who have iPhones (all on AT&T, same as I am) and they don't answer, their voicemail is not picking up. I called 3 separate ones to test it and got the same results. I called from my office desk phone and their voicemail did pick up. I called a friend with a Samsung and her VM picked up.

These same people are able to call and leave me VM.

Any ideas? This has gone on for a few days. Thanks!!!

S7 Camera issue (RAW)

SM-G930F running 6.0.1
Having ability to save in RAW is a big advantage. especially as I am a Lightroom user.

However I have found an issue with camera on my S7… maybe its settings, but could be a bug, and the issues may be related.

Firstly … if I set it to save as RAW file (my preference) … I can do this OK, via camera>mode/Pro>settings
However, if you exit camera … when you next go into camera it has defaulted to standard mode & jpeg
Can I set it to 'lock to RAW mode'...

Nexus 6p Group Messaging Problem

I've had my Nexus 6p for over a month now, but I still don't receive group messages consistently. I am still able to effectively send group messages though. I've tried using other messaging apps like Textra and Go SMS but still nothing. Something that could have caused it is that I moved from an IPhone 6 to my Nexus 6p which could've caused the problem. But I already went through the procedure to disable my old Imessage. If you have any ideas I could do to fix my issue i'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Alcatel idol 3 5.5 wont play maps directions over car radio

When connected to car bluetooth, google maps or waze wont play on car while car radio is on. If device is selected on car unit then you can hear nav app turn by turn directions. But if radio is on, directions wont override radio.

Bootloop on LG logo and strange text

Hi

I had LG phone before, but it was L7 1st gen, so not sure if everything works the same.

I have possibility to buy used LG G3 D855, however it has a problem:
It got stuck on LG logo, however sometimes it goes further and shows "strange text" (right now I don't know what kind of text, not sure if I will get answer from the seller about it).
It (as seller wrote) happened after an update (probably to 6.0).

Could any of You (basing on Yours experience) tell me if it is "standard" bootloop...

hi everyone i manged to root my zte blade l5 with kingoroot just to test a few things.
but then i decided to remove root access but some of my apps now dont work kingo root left residule files behind and i cant delete them i have rooted it again with kingoroot and tried again but no success in removing it

Note 7 earpiece and mic issues?

Hey everyone I'm new to the forum. So I just picked up the Note 7 a couple days ago and so far everything is amazing. Except the earpiece and mic. I feel like when on calls it's difficult to carry a convo because the ear peace seems to cut out here and there and I'm not sure if this is a hardware, software, or due to a poor signal? Also the mic seems to be having issues when on speaker phone and somewhat on regular calls without speaker phone. I feel like maybe this might be a Samsung issue?...

Note 7 Disappoints again with video/audio recordings

Specifically bought this phone to take with me to Minnesota to see Metallica's show live and get good quality recordings both in video and audio. :mad:

As you can see in the video below, autogain or some other stupid setting caused the audio to peak out and make a crackling sound.

Now to compare, my friend was standing next to me recording with his Galaxy S7 Edge with absolutley no issues.

I went to see Black Sabbath last night and experienced the same exact issues and my buddy didnt...

After having it about a year with no issues, my Lg G3 is having charging issues. A couple weeks ago, it would say it was charging, but wouldn't. I took it in to the cell phone company and they said the phone was fine, but I needed a new charger. Just how good is the Honor 8 camera?

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 doesn't recognize memory cards

Just got a new Tab S 10.5. Love the device, works great, but when I insert any one of three (SanDisk 32gb-Kingston 8gb) cards they're not being recognized. The cards work fine in my Tab 4 10.1 and phone. I've read where some people who have this problem have gotten Samsung SD cards to work, where other brands won't. Need help choosing a tablet mainly for movies/video/pictures/games

I'm looking to use my phone primarily as a phone and looking to use a tablet primarily for everything else. Web browsing, reading, apps, but most important to me is movies, video's, pictures and games.

Note(2014 edition), Note Pro(12'), Tab S and Tab S2 is what I'm considering.

I would get the Tab S2 since it's newer and has Super Amoled display, but worried the 4:3 display is not ideal for what is most important to me(video's, etc.).

Which S7 Edge fast charger do I get for the car?

I have an official Samsung "Adaptive Fast Charging" plug for home (model EP-TA20UWE).

On the plug itself, it shows: 9.0V @ 1.67A and 5.0V @ 2.0A.

It works fine and my phone shows "Fast Charging" when it's connected to it.

The equivalent official Samsung "Adaptive Fast Charging" for the car appears to be the ACADU10CBE but that only shows: Input: 5V 700mA / Output: 4.2V.

Is this the correct product I need?

I know that rooting only unlocks the ability to do certain things but on my old phone when I rooted it the battery was horrible, I don't know if it is because it was a bad phone or root. In my endeavor to learn how to test android apps, I'd like to see some android apps that crash. Does anyone know of any apps that consistently crash that I could use to test with? I need to record the screen activity and view the logs when the crash occurs. I'm testing on an LG Transpyre VS810PP running Android 5.1.1 & Google chrome on Verizon's network. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey.

I was reading about ChromeOS, its android apps support, but I'm not really sold on that. Google Pixel 2 is a great... chromebook, but it's still a chromebook. I can't stop thinking that dumping ChromeOS for Android development will be way better - latest android-enabled notebooks? Why not.
Google Play Store could have additional category, like "Pro Apps", with apps like Lightroom (real Lightroom, not castrated version that's currently on Google Play), and other full-size Adobe apps...

I really hope Google makes a MacBook alternative

im looking to get a new phone that's good for vlogging as I really don't like carrying a phone and camera (even if cameras tiny)

Speck Candyshell-any screen protectors that don't fit?

I have a general question in on the previous thread (Naked....) but no responses so far.

Meanwhile I consulted Speck Customer Service about whether I can use their case with the RhinoShield (or other screen protectors), but they did not give a clear answer.

"Thanks for contacting Speck! We design our Google cases according to Google's specifications. Ports are sized and fit to the included Huawei headphones and charging cable. Third party accessories may work but unfortunately not...

Can some one please help me I'm about to go nuts with this issue! All was fine on my T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 until I got a 300mb software update a couple of days ago. U3 vs U1 card for Moto X Style 16 GB, Using it as Adoptable Storage.

So I'm planning on getting a Moto X Style White which is now only available in 16GB (32 GB has been out of stock for way too long) and So I;m thinking that I'll get an sd card to use as an Adoptable Storage Device.
I've heard a lot about both the Samsung pro+ (U3) and the Samsung Evo+ (U1), the only problem is in my country only the 64GB variant of the Pro+ is available, whereas the 128GB version of the Evo is availble as well.

part of the choiche is driven by price, part by features but... let's move on

Phone has malware, help!

Galaxy 7 Case on an Edge phone?

Apps permission managment is running notification

When i click on this notification i get a list of apps that i can set permissions for. Thing is, the list is not complete and also includes apps i can't find in Setup- Apps-Management. For example ebiReader, fskaren, guvera music, kingsoft office etc.
This worries me and i wonder if i have loaded something i shouldnt have?

NEED A SM-T807V STOCK FIRMWARE

My device is stuck in download mode and will not boot. I have tried to hard reset but it locks up on the boot screen and will not boot. Then it will boot to download mode, I'm guessing the firmware is corrupted and needs reloaded.

I have tried to find this firmware on sammobile and other sites but I can not find it. I have tried to use Kies to get the firmware from the temp folder but Kies wants a serial number in order to restore the device. The only serial number I have is the IMEI and it...

Overview:
While attempting to move photos from my spouse's phone internal storage to google drive only 71 of 3,939 photos moved. The rest... I have no clue where they went and they're not showing up in Gallery or in My Files -> Device Storage -> DCIM -> Camera.
