My BLU is making me Blue

I have a BLU Studio M HD. I tried hooking it up to my computer to put music and pics on it and it communicates with my computer but I can't put nothing on my phone. It says its incompatible. Has anyone had a similar problem or have any advice of which route to follow? It would be a blessing
