Samsung G5-- stopping the constant wifi scanning

Hi everyone, great to have this opportunity for some help. .......I'm trying to find a way to stop the battery draining, constant "scanning" function on my S5. My phone is not 'broken' and l can't find anything in the options or advanced options to do this???
