Does a 256GB SD card work for the Galaxy S Tab 10.5?

I used to own the Note 2014 edition. Claims that maximum SD card is 64GB. I put a 128GB SD card in it and it worked fine. So I'm wondering if anyone knows if a 256GB card will work with the Tab S since it says it's max is 128GB.
