Nexus 6P slow motion not working

I record a slow motion video, and when I play it back it's choppy. It's like a 120 or 240 fps video is being recorded at 30fps and played back slower. The fix seems to be restarting the phone. For about the next 12-24 hours I'm able to record slow motion, but after that it gets choppy again. I checked to make sure that it wasn't playback by download the videos to my computer and they are choppy there to.
