Chrome redirect virus/malware

Hi guys for the past couple of months I've been experiencing an extremely annoying occurance with chrome. When I search on chrome and enter certain websites I get a redirect to an add or a message saying I have a virus. I have done the usual things like scan with every app under the sun with no success.
