How to stop data usage by removed apps.

I bought Samsung S*+ 7 month ago. Right after I bought it, some apps removed. And up to now no problem. My regular data usage used to be less than 2GB/month by last month. This month, I received a notice from Verizon that my data usage to be over my limit. Then, I checked data usage record to find out that [removed apps used data 3.13GB] during I month. I asked Verizon about it, but they did not know how it happened. Anyone give me any advise to settle the problem?
