How do you get Huawei P10 Plus to accept external microphone while recording video?

I have a Samson Go Mic Mobile that y wife uses to record videos. It works fine with my Sony and her old Nexus but will not on Huawei. Checking online, I have found several places that say Huawei disables external mics with the camera. Is this true and if so, how do you turn it back on?

Random phone number instead of mine appears on callee's phone

Ok, so this happens pretty randomly, and only when the person I'm calling is outside UK (roaming).

Scenario: I call the other person with my UK SIM, me being in UK. The other person, outside UK, receives my call, but instead of seeing my phone number, a different number is displayed on her phone. This different number seems to have the format of the country she's in.

This is happening rarely and at random, moreover, the number shown is different every time.

Has anyone experienced this...

I used Nand Erase All

Hello, I wanted clean flash stock rom on my Galaxy S5 G901F so I did that using Nand Erase All and I did it 2 - 3 times to try different Regions. After the flash was done I was getting "device memory error: the data partition has been corrupted. You need to reset your device to factory defaults. This will erase all your data." After I pressed the button everything was erased and it was working fine. Did I do any harm to my device ?

Now Playing Log - I made an app that saves your songs from Google's Now Playing feature

Hey all,

Google's Now Playing feature for the Pixel 2 is cool, but lacks any way to log the songs it hears or even tell you where you heard them. The notification also goes away fairly quickly, which is annoying.

I made an app to solve both of those issues without root or any battery draining services. It's called Now Playing Log on the Play Store.

I saw a few other apps on the store that have similar functionality but I personally really wanted a map and a clean UI.

While I was redownloading all my apps and setting up my home screen, I stumbled on something in Windows Phone for which I didn't immediately find a replacement in Android.

LG V20 Screen brightness uneven and fading from upper right to bottom left

Hi- I took my phone out of my pocket one day and the screen brightness was suddenly uneven across my phone. No visible water damage. It is brightest in the upper right hand corner and fades across the screen being darkest at the bottom left corner. I can barely read the screen without having the brightness at 100% all the time. I am not sure if this is a backlight issue or even how to fix it.

Has anyone had issues like this or know how to fix it?

I just purchased my LG V20 a few weeks ago (actually 2 of them for a new T-Mobile account). At first, all with the camera seemed fine when I tried it (I don't take many photos). Andoird 7.0 update killed my phone.

hi all
looking for your help.
Holder of Samsung A3 2017 I had the VERY bad idea to install android 7.0 on Sunday.
Since then I cannot litterally use my phone normally.
All the google suits apps are not working+all the apps relying on them (for instance apps using gmap).

Problems with case

So I've found the hard way that glitter cases are bad!

I had in it my pocket and it's leaked onto my phone and left marks on the screen and had burned my skin. Long story short, don't get a glitter case, don't get them as a present either because they could be dangerous!

I've finally done it...

Well Ive soft bricked my poor old s7, it failed when trying to install a verizon firmware on using odin. The fully unlocked device through a tantrum and I don't know where to find unlocked s7 firmware. Mostly because I don't even know what they are called on Sammobiles site, I don't no exactly what abreviation it is (i.e VZW). Can't edit the number of a contact, only the name

Hi

I have True Phone installed and granted all permissions - Android 7.
I deinstalled or deactivated (Google) Phone, Contacts and some other apps. I also reduced permissions of many apps. I want to avoid contacts to be handed out to Google.

S8/S8 Plus crop-to-fit feature is not working properly after latest Youtube update.

Hello Guys I really need help on this one.

I'm currently having a problem with "crop-to-fit" feature on my newest phone the Galaxy S8 from Samsung.
the feature is not working properly anymore after I updated the latest version of Youtube which is 12.27.53

Now I have 2 phones which are Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus and the problem existed on both phones.
I have tried uninstalling the latest version of Youtube and they rolled back into an older version and the crop-to-fit feature is now working...

Pixel 2 black crush, do you have it and will you keep it?

See topic title. I have black crush on my Pixel 2, and I have an app installed to fix the blacks, which basically turns them to greys and makes all the colors warm, which isn't the best option. New phone required for iphone user

Hi

Currently using an iPhone 6 but it's got to the point where it battery doesn't last the day comes off charger 7:30 and is dead by 15:00.

I love voice to text for emails and texts as it is much faster than swiping, etc. However, when I'm in my basement office or any location where my data is lagging, it works terrible. Honor 6x vs Huawei P10 Lite

Hi,


In the market to purchase a new phone (currently have an off-brand 5in phone). I use mine for everything, watching movies/TV eps, streaming, browsing, purchasing, Spotify, sending sometimes quite long emails (work/personal). I also use the phone for long periods at a stretch as I have a 45 minute train ride to and from work.


My 2 contenders are:


- the Honor 6x (£190) which is slightly older with Android 6.0 & 3 GB RAM but has a larger battery at 3340 mAh and larger screen at 5.5in....

Moto z bt outgoing calls not going through car speakers

Hi guys
I have a new moto z2... And we just had a Kenwood DPX502BT radio installed in our van.
By all appearances, the phone and radio are pairing and on incoming calls, both ends of conversation come through car speakers.
But if I go to call using the radio ( pushing voice button on radio ), and say " call Rex", voice comes over speakers saying "call Rex" and I can hear the number being dialed.
But neither call voice comes through the car speakers.... Only through the phone...

Call recorder recommendation?

I'm looking for a good call recording app. I've tried a few, but so far none is ideal. Instead of trying them all (there are lots) I thought I'd ask on a couple of forums first.

Here are the features I'd like to have:
• Good sound quality (of course)

Phone doesn't work on some cities

On my home town my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge works perfectly, but when I travel to some cities it presents the following problems

• No internet access. Neither WiFi nor 4G work.
• Overheating
• Battery discharges very quickly.
• In one case the keyboard was unresponsive.

In one city in a country it works fine, but in another city in the same country it doesn't.
Any ideas what could cause this strange behaviour?

I am looking to get a new phone (am borrowing an old one at the moment) and am hoping for some advice.

Hello, I like to use third-party desktop applications (Windows 10) for sending and receiving SMS messages (easier to type!). However, it seems that a small percentage of my text messages are never sent, and a small percentage from others are never received. When you go buy the phone:

Just ask them to take you to a dark room (Bathroom) and go into the secret menu via the dialer. That'll give you the exact quality of what to expect before you even leave.

*#546368#*998# (Or whichever model, in my case it's 932, so put that instead of 998)

SVC Menu > LCD Test > Automatic or manual test is fine but if you've got screen turn off at 30 seconds or less it'll turn off before it's done. So best to do manual or turn up the time to keep screen on a tad...

LG K10 won't allow me to grant app permissions & unwanted icon won't go away

I have an LG K10; approx a year old and two new issues arose with it today.

It won't allow me to grant any permissions to apps. For example: after downloading a new app, when I first open it and it asks for the initial permissions such as: accessing contacts, photos, etc.. it won't let me choose the "ALLOW," option....the window will only close if I press "deny," but then the app won't let me go any further or access/use it any more than that....and when I try to select "allow," nothing...
