I am looking to get a new phone (am borrowing an old one at the moment) and am hoping for some advice.

I don't do contract phones as prefer to buy outright and done want to spend what I would need to on a Galaxy Note 8 or Google Pixel 2 at the moment.

Sooo, having looked at waaaay too many specs of lots if different phones, I decided to try and stay at the lower price range and look at these two phones, one new / one excellent refurbished status.
