Hard reset

I took my note 4 into Verizon because it was being slow, so the nice woman said we should do a hard reset. After backing everything up and resetting the phone it appeared to be like brand new. Now about 3wks later it's back to being slow and this morning was completely unresponsive, I had to pull the battery to get it to work again. I don't know why. It does have the latest update now also. Any advice is appreciated, Jack
