iPhone to S8 - app notification

Having had every single iPhone from the start I have recently switched to the S8. I like the way that the iPhone displays a red circle with number for notifications on that particular app.

I see that the S8 does the same but it is a more discreet colour i.e. white . Is there any way to change the colour when the notification comes through on the app icon on the home screen?
