Moto x force camera problem

Every now & then (probably once a month) I launch the camera & all I get is a blank screen. Still have the option to record & switch cameras but when I press them they don't work. The only way to get my camera to work again is by turning the phone off then back on again. Any ideas on how to get this camera to just work like it should do?
