U8 smartwatch and whatsapp

hey there
can anyone help with the U8 smartwatch i have everything connected the one question i have is when a whatsapp arrives i can see on the smart watch that 1 has arrived but i can't see the contents
for example
the name is there
the group chat name is there
date and time
but no content is this normal
running android 6.0.1 note 4
