Self updating apps

Hello, you may have noticed a feature where apps get automatically upgraded without going to an app store.
For example, SendShare lets me know if my peer has high version of an app that I can directly upgrade.

Does anyone know similar feature in other apps where apps get installed or upgraded without going to the store?
