Android TV crashes on 4.4.2 whenever I open the settings app and I want to reset it.

I'm trying to open the settings app on my android 4.4.2 to factory reset it but it crashes every time, is there another way to reset it. I'm using a tv box and have tried to hold down the power button and volume + together on the remote but nothing happens. Please help me
