update from 5 to 6.01"Set up SD card" glitch

I just got my Alcatel onetouch idol 3 maybe 10 days ago. It came with Lollipop 5.0, then the phone updated to 6.01 and this problem started.

I have a 32gb SD card, last used in a Lumia 640 windows 8.1 phone. Before removing it from the Lumia I ran a format on it. Then, the card was smooth on 5.0 on this Alcatel, lots of apps now installed on it. But with this 6.01, on phone power-ups/resets it keeps prompting me to "Set up your Sandisk SD card", and gives 2 choices: Use as portable storage...
