Predictive Text problems

Yesterday, my almost new Galaxy S7 started acting...hinky, for lack of a better word. Any time I tried to type special characters (@ _ . Etc) the text would go all screwey. Like if I was tuping an email address, everything would be fine until I got to the @. Once I typed the first letter of the domain name, the first letter of the username would double up. After I typed the . The c in com would turn into a . too. Any letters types after a letter a would turn into an a, same with a _.
