Reliance on external Power Packs

Does anybody think that people these days relay way too much on external Power Packs? I mean I understand that power users need a Power Packs to top up the battery on their device. But I see people who are power users who use Power Packs to keep the charge on their device. When they could probably charger their device at home at the end of the day.
