Messaging App Issues on the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+

I've had a couple issues with the Messaging app from Samsung.

1. I was not getting any notification alerts (tones, vibration, or on the actual notification bar). I found the cause and fixed it by doing the following.



2. I was no longer able to reply through notification popup. It appears that when you enable the Edge Lighting feature, it disables the quick pop up one. To fix it, you have to disable Edge Lighting. To do so, follow this quick guide....
