my whatsapp messages after a date not showing after updating new version

I updated my whatsapp moto g4 on 7 dec 2017. After updating some of my chats are incomplete. It showing message up to 30 dec 2016.
I uninstalled my whatsapp and reinstalled the older version but the problem was not solve.
Plz help.
