Go launcher memory consumption

Hi, I've been looking in the memory consumption this morning on my Xperia Z1, and i found that it's nearly full, when i took a look in the apps i found out that go launcher/go locker themes are running in the background, is there any way to stop them ? other than going through each one and push the stop button, tho they come back a while after ti stop them. Or should i switch to apex or nova ?
