S8+ randomly freezes - What could be the problem?

So I'm on my second S8+ due to this issue as both have exhibited the same problem. Samsung premium care sent me a replacement, but it hasn't helped the situation. I go to grab my phone and the home button doesn't respond to touch at all, and the screen does not turn on. The only way to get it to function is to hold the volume down and power button until the phone resets. It loves to do this at night so I have never used my S8 as an alarm, and still use my iPhone to wake me up as it has...
