My Android Watch is in a boot loop. Help!

I haven't used my smartwatch for a while and decided to make a use of it. Obviously, I put it on charger and see the usual welcome screen animation. But then it turns off and few seconds later turns on with the welcome screen animation again. It's been stuck like that for a while now and I have no idea how to fix it! Any clues on how to get this fixed?
