Nexus 10 - Time to Upgrade

I bought a used Nexus 10 about 3yrs ago (maybe more) and it's been a great tablet, but, battery on it's way out and of course, starting to come across apps that won't update/install because incompatible.

Still old, but came across a mint Nexus 9 for $150CAD... is it a worthwhile upgrade?

I'm hoping to stay under $300CAD for a new tablet and between 8-10 inches, but same time, I don't want something that is a big downgrade screen/sound wise. That Nexus 10 had a great screen, and speakers on...
