Latest update to 8.0 killed my micro SD - keeps unmounting itself HELP

So my HTC U11 informed me of a software update to 8.0 2 days ago, and as soon as it finished and restarted my phone, my micro SD card keeps unmounting itself so i can't read it.

There are a lot of photos on there of my boy and i would really like them saved.

I tried using a card reader in my PC, but my PC will not pick up the card, now the funny thing is when i first turn on my phone my phone reads the card, and for about 20 seconds i can actually access it if i'm quick and all the things...
