Right now I have a Nexus 5 (2014) which serves my needs well.

but thanks to the wonder of modern built in obsolescence - it's time to start shopping for a replacement.

I do not want to shell out 500 bux plus for a phone that's only gonna last 2 or 3 years.

The Nexus cost a couple hundred bux "new old stock" and that's pretty much my budget.. I guess I could go to say $350 if it had a great aluminum frame or glass back (Nexus plastic back tabs broke the first time I dropped it)
