Trouble Charging

I have the Moto Z Force 7.0 and have only had it for less than 2 months. I am starting to have trouble getting it to charge, happens with the AC charger as well as my car charger. The phone gets very hot at times.
These are the same problems I had with my last Droid and I lost everything....
