Pixel charging issues

Hi everyone,

So I have had my Pixel since the launch day and I love it.
However, in the last couple of days it has some niggling problems.

When I connect my phone to the charger at the wall socket (mains adapter, using original Pixel cord and brick), the phone thinks its connected to a laptop/PC and asks me for the USB power options like Chargin, file transfer etc. Until I chose charge the phone, it doesnt charge. I repeat I have connected the phone to its wall/mains charger.
