HELP PLEASE

I am trying to transfer photos from my Galaxy A9Pro to my desktop PC via USB.
I had no difficulty with my previous phones but cannot do transfer with this A9.
When I connect via USB to PC I can see the A9 showing on the PC but when I open up the menu and see all the files there is nothing in there - DCIM or Pictures or anywhere else.
I have managed to get them into Windows 10 photo on the PC but I want to be able to transfer the photos to other places such as websites and emails but cannot...
