Can't transfer files ( photos, videos,music etc) via Bluetooth on adaptable storage.

I selected SD card as adaptable storage, it is only working for app download, file sharing via Bluetooth isn't working. I tried transfering photos, videos ,music, and other files via Bluetooth many times but it failed to do. There is no fault in Bluetooth as it works with other device. I have 32 gb SD card which I used for adaptable storage but can't make it use for photos and other files. If I can't store photos on adaptable storage what is the meaning of adaptable storage.
