Device maintenance .. 90/100 and orange battery

Okay, I'm going nuts trying to figure out what this means and what happened. My phone has always shown 100/100 Excellent, with no nagging notifications after I run Fix Now.

The [orange] battery icon is the most annoying thing as I can find nothing that explains what the "1" (like an unread counter) is showing.
