Backups

I see so many Apps for backing up your phone, most of which are not good. It is a simple matter to connect your phone via USB and copy your SD folder and Phone folder to your computer. From there to a USB external drive. No need for fancy Dan software, just computer knowlege. Yet, I have been all over the web and I have not found a single person who sustains my view. Too much App crap I say! What do you think?. I called Samsung support and they concurred.
