Oreo home screen display

My carrier finally upgraded me to Oreo yesterday. I have shortcutted (for years now) most of my apps to the home screen because I don't like how they're organized in the app drawer.

On Nougat, one home sceen "row" was 5 apps wide. With Oreo, it's only 4. Nothing in Settings > Display seems to help. If I can' change this back to 5-to-a-row, it will totally make my organizational OCD flare up big time
