Old Phone booths turned into Wi-Fi hotspots.

Hi,

I found an interesting blog about Free Wi-Fi in New York City. It looks like they have turned the old phone booths into Wi-Fi hotspots. I think it's a good initiative for free internet for all campaign. These booths hubs are also equipped with USB chargers for charging the smartphones. The blog was named Sidewalk Labs: What's old is new again
I think this is a great idea which other cities should be adopting. I don't know if other major cities in the world have done something similar to...
