How can I add my computer to android messages for web without my phone?

I would like to use Android messages for web from my work computer but the problem is, I can't bring my phone to my desk to scan the QR code. Is there a way I can add that computer without scanning the QR code on my monitor. I've tried a couple of different ways to get the QR code to my phone including printing a screenshot, but they take too long and the QR code has reset before I can scan it. Any suggestions?
