Galaxy s7 Edge VPN problem

Hey guys, So I just got a galaxy s7 Edge and I have been having some problems with using a VPN. On my old galaxy s4(m919) I would always use a VPN at school so I could watch Netflix, play clash of clans etc. I never had a problem with ZPN before until now. So I sign into the school WiFi and I open the VPN. I turn it on and it seems to be working. Then I try opening an app blocked by the wifi. It starts loading then either the VPN stops working or the apps says there is no internet...
